PAST ITS PRIME

Carmi's Theme this week is PAST ITS PRIME There is no doubt that this pier at Cobh, Ireland, was well past its prime, and looked positively unsafe!

These Fallen Angels are in the Churchyard of our Parish Church, St. Michaels and all Angels. Seems to me its not quite all Angels!

And lastly, this old tree had been left where it had fallen, (its in a Nature Reserve) and is now no doubt home to a myriad of bug and insect life!

All good choices, but that pier is especially good.

That pier is for sure not safe, but isn't silly how some past its prime things and locations can be so stunning in their own secret way? I'd love reading a book there and just taking in life as it is...simple! All your past prime photos are really quite lovely! That's so cool!

Great shots Gilly, but that Irish pier is the best. Not sure I’d echo Karen’s sentiments though; I’d definitely want to do a risk assessement first.

Such eerie tombstones. :)

I really like that first one. Makes me wonder where it used to go to, or did it always end there, and why? Cool pictures.
