A Bicycle is always handy!
The pilot boat which met our cruise ship off the Scilly Isles and said we couldn’t go there!
My transportation! (well, actually, I generally only use one stick!)

St Mary's always was officious. Tresco is much more relaxed but has nowhere for a cruise ship either.

love these pics, but the sticks look lonely somehow.....
So sorry to learn of your need for the crutches. I fear I am headed in that direction. Once I am down I can no longer get up without help. I have fallen several times in recent months and my balance is getting very iffy. I have had to start carrying a cane if I am going walking on unsure ground.
I love that boat. It reminds me of children's books I used to read....a classic boat design. And that's seriously the cleanest bike I've ever seen. Love it! (Now I want to ride.)
