CHARACTERS

Its photographs of letters, figures or any combination of the two that Carmi is asking for this week. Click on the link to see what others have come up with on this one!

A Street sign in Gran Canaria, one of the Canary Islands. Much prettier than our usual bog standard ones!

A Bergen, Norway, manhole cover - very smart! And another, this time from Stavanger, Norway.

A very apt trading name! 78 degrees north is very Arctic!

Not too sure about this one!

But entirely sure about these signs. Difficulty was trying to decide which loaves to buy!

I agree with the not so sure about that one- Bison is delicious though! Great combination of all those characters!

Like the characters! Especially the manhole covers :) But the bread is giving me the afternoon munchies!

A friend of mine has a restaurant that serves most of those meats. I'd be 'game' to try them. :)

I love the manhole convers! European cities are so much more creative than North American cities! The street sign in Gran Canaria reminds me of Spain. Great photos Gilly.

I don't remember manhole covers like that when I was there - great, but the Grand Canaria street sign is superb

We could use some of those fancy manhole covers here in D.C.
