WHITE FOR WINTER

Most winter white, is, let's face it, SNOW!   Thanks to the Gulf Stream we don't get a lot of snow here in the UK, though of course Scotland and Northern England get more than the balmy Southern parts.    And the east of England, north or south, can get clobbered with heavy falls.

So I dug out my snow shots from last month, to rise up to Carmi's challenge to find White for Winter photographs.

Our garden, from the house.   Beyond the hedge at the bottom is the Park.....

And in the Park, half the town enjoyed sledging.   We have a very handy hill!

Patterns made by snow on branches

Just snow, really, by the lake.

 Snow on spiky grass.

And there are wings.......

And white feathers.   From the swans that live on the lake.

Do leave a comments, good or bad, its lovely to know I have had visitors!

We haven't had that much snow on Teesside. Gorgeous swan wing.

Wow, what a lovely place indeed. I really like the photos of the lake, very pretty, and your sledding hill is perfect, and close. We have one too at the side of our house, but it isn't that grand!

I just looked at all your pictures. You are quite talented! They are beautiful. I especially liked the old family photos. Really interesting. And your kitchen is very neat!

Beautiful pictures. I too live in the UK, in the south east. I think we tend to go a little crazy over snow because we don't really see it that much. Apart from the last few year that is.

Beautiful wing and feather shots too.

These are really lovely shots, Gilly - I really like the snow on the branches, and the wings. But they're all gorgeous.

No snow here, even in mid-winter!
