Summer in the UK, so far, has been extremely wet! However, pictures of floods are not very cheerful, but……….
…………. there is nothing quite so cheerful as a sunflower!
………..Or an Allium……
…………..or an English rose!

Pretty!
I love taking pictures of flowers too, Gilly.
P.S. That fawn was in a thicket next to the golf course parking lot. When I tried to get close, he(?) circumnavigated around it and ended up back in the same spot, which is where I shot the youtube.

Very nice. The rose turned out especially well.
Beautiful flowers! I love the colors that they bring to the landscape in summer.
I wonder what has happened to our Allium this year. Perhaps they don't like this very wet June weather. Three fine flower pics; I'm with the rose as well.
Hi Gilly ~~ I agree with you, the sunflower is the most cheerful flower (at least that I know of).
Yes, summer is slow in coming to the U.K. We just missed a 'pre-summer' spell in late March and early April. We got to London April 11 and it has rained almost steady since, like spring showers.
I keep up with my kids (daughter works there, to granddaughters and hubby went with her) so I have London weather just below mine on my side bar.
Also I keep track of how it really is with this WebCam:

Our daughter lives in the large building showing over the houses and the youngest walks with her daddy to and from pre-school right through this video. Twice a day.
..
A delightful way to welcome summer!
Lovely! Yellow is THE summer colour for me; I love the angle of your sunflower shot.
Summer is slow coming to Oregon, too. But those flowers are spectacular!
