This is actually Cork, in the Irish Republic. It was wet the day we went. Very wet. But it is a beautiful city, and I would like to go back one day. In the dry.
But the gentle showers of English rain leave everything refreshed, green and growing.
But also leave lovely drops on foliage.
And enable us to enjoy the fruits from the orchards and gardens of this beautiful land!

Oh my, fabulous, especially the last photo, I'd love to have a bowl of them, right here, right now. But they'd never last. Great summer here Gilly!
Gilly, I have spent two summers in England and loved both of them. Had as much sun as rainy days. And the rainy days were nice. My mother used to say that rain helps mother nature and if you tilt your face up, gives you wonderful soft skin! She was never one to complain about the weather.
I love your lovely drops on the foilage, Gilly.
P.S. But what is that blue bird over the lake?
Great Blue Heron.

Ahh, beautiful pictures. I miss the rains sometimes, we don't see a whole lot in Utah.
Such lovely pictures! But I must say that the first one makes me think twice about my plans to visit Ireland next year...
Say it quietly but we have had no rain for a week. So as much as I like that rainy shot I'd rather it stayed in Ireland. No I'm off to inspect our fruit bowl.
