VACATION

Carmi's Challenge this week is "Vacation"

This was taken when we visited Tromso, in Norway. I loved the reflection of the old buildings in the water of the harbour.

Tromso is the most northerly city in Europe, well above the Arctic Circle, and has a University, and one of the most "spread out" cities I have ever seen! Built on dozens of islands, there are bridges all over the place! The Polar Museum was fascinating.

It is a very friendly, welcoming city, and we enjoyed our visit there.

As soon as I saw the reflections of the buildings in the water I knew it had to be a Norwegian city. I spent nearly 10 years there in the 1980s, never got to Tromso though.

What a beautiful shot! The reflection absolutely makes the scene. I could see myself sitting right by the water, drinking in the moment.

And that ship in the background? The Storm...a very special, high-speed craft! Wow...how opportune that you got to see it!
