FAVOURITES

My favourites of 2012 - lovely time looking through all my photos! Managed to get it down to six, some of which you might have seen before, but hopefully some will be new!

I started with

These amazing flowers in Funchal, Madeira, Flower Market. All the flowers were strange to me, and they were selling fast!

This flower, however, was in my garden. It would have looked better against a blue sky, but I don't remember many of those!

Raindrops on white foxgloves - rather pretty!

And an African Marigold after a heavy rain shower. Actually, my African Marigolds didn't like all the rain, and died on me!

From flowers to fruit!

And last of all, just to prove I do take photos apart from flowers - Waiting on the opposite station platform from me for the Stockport/Manchester train.

I think I like the lemon best - I like the simplicity of the shape and the texture of the skin - like you could reach out and touch it.

Oh I just adore all the flowers! I wish spring was closer than it is! All of these are great, and now I have to post my own. I haven't even read Carmi's post yet! Happy new year to you too!

Wow! Those flower shots are ALL just stunning! No wonder you couldn't choose just one.

Now, that last photo is so funny. The reading girl gets photobombed by an ad!!! Hilarious!

The first flower and the lemon are the best.
And I thought I had posted first!

Great choices, I really like the lemon and the two at the train station.

I congratulate you, Gilly - these are all wonderful photos. I couldn't pick a favourite... but that last one is so clever!

I'm in love with the flower from your garden. It's pretty, simple and a bit whimsical looking. Precious.

Beautiful flower shots and I like the one of people waiting for the train. There is a web site I really love of pictures of people reading on the New York Subways you might enjoy looking at.
