SINGLE PEOPLE

Carmi's Thematic Challenge this week is SINGLE PEOPLE

This lonely soul is fishing in Errwood Reservoir, in Derbyshire. I know fishing is a solitary occupation anyway, but this man was well away from footpaths and other people, and really seemed very "single".

This was taken in Mahon, the capital of the Island of Menorca, one of the Balearic Islands. I was actually taking Mr.G at the foot of the steps when this chap came belting up the steps in a real hurry! I hope whatever whatever he was looking for/chasing after/escaping from his mission was successful!

Oh I could think of several single things to do in that first lovely photo. What a dreamy place...and those stairs....if we ran up and down them a few times who would need the health club right! Great single moments....!

I love how you really both captured and ruined someone's solitude (simultaneously) in the top pic. Nicely done. :)

Running up those steps would beat me know, but I could handle the solitude of that first beautiful shot.

I used to run up steps like that...but I still like fishing.

Nice pics!

Both of these images made me catch my breath for very different reasons. The first one reminds me of why I love being beside water. You've captured the power of the place. The second shot is brilliantly composed, all the more remarkable because it was totally spontaneous.

You have such an eye.
