THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAIL..........

Carmi's Challenge this week in DETAILS.

I thought this feather was so delicate for something that does so much work!

My eye was caught by these flies sunning themselves on the trunk of an oak tree.

Don't know what sort of a car it was, but it was old, classy, and waiting for a bride to emerge!

Plastic baskets stacked outside a shop

Cooking Bolognese sauce in my kitchen - glass lids are so interesting!

Gilly, amazingly detailed and unusual angles; as usual, you’ve done us proud. I’d love to know what camera you use - I want one!

Little, Nell, its a perfectly ordinary Canon - digital of course, but it can do quite a few amazing things! I think the trick is keep still, get in as close as possible, and don't be afraid of cropping afterwards!

I love these photos of interesting perspective and detail- each one fascinating! My favorite has to be the buckets though, so colorful :)

Beautiful!

Great eye, Gilly!

I have a cooking pot just like that, and I've never looked at it quite that way before. What fun!

The wheelnut on the car sums up your post well, Gilly. What a 'Performance'!

That last shot enticed me right in! I swear I can smell the sauce simmering and hear the little bubbles breaking the surface and forming the condensation on the lid. Delicious details, no question about it!

These are delightful. That car is amazing: A piece of rolling art, especially in the way you captured it.

I'm so glad I chose this theme this week: the responses have been phenomenal. Look no further than here. Thanks so much for being such an enthusiastic contributor. I very much appreciate it!
